In rural America, small towns, and urban centers, hands-on   entrepreneurship education is making a REAL difference.

Washington REAL helps individuals, schools, communities, and rural America grow through hands-on entrepreneurship education.

REAL helps to prepare the workforce for America's increasing entrepreneurial economy by offering a high quality entrepreneurship curriculum and education for children (K-8), youth (9-12), and adults (community colleges and four-year institutions).

Washington REAL offers summer institutes to train educators to develop entrepreneurial talent in students from Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Elementary grades (K-5): Mini-REAL equips teachers to help children create an in-school community with an entrepreneurial sector, a court system, banking, and a functioning government sector.

Middle grades (6-8): Middle REAL helps students learn the real value of money, creates entrepreneurial ventures, and undertakes projects that address community needs.

Along with the entrepreneurial process, the REAL curriculum focuses on: critical thinking, creativity, persuasive communication, research and using technology effectively--reinforcing students' abilities to find their own answers to their own questions. REAL is flexible. Whether they teach adults or young children, teachers receive the tools and training they need to adapt REAL to their community's particular needs.
